Canada Pulse ("the app") is a free weather app for Canadian cities. This page explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
If you allow it, the app uses your device's location once to find the nearest supported Canadian city. Your exact coordinates are never stored on our servers — only used in your browser to pick a city from our list.
Weather data is fetched from OpenWeatherMap for the city you're viewing. No personal information is sent with these requests.
If you turn on daily notifications, your browser's push subscription details (a technical address used to deliver notifications, not your name or identity) and chosen city are stored securely so we can send you one daily weather update. You can turn this off anytime in Settings, which deletes this data.
If you subscribe to Pulse Plus, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We keep a subscription status token on our servers, tied to your device, so the app knows your subscription is active.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand overall visit counts. This is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
Free-tier use of the app may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to show relevant ads. You can learn more and manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.
